About This Blog

I began this blog in 2011 in an attempt to improve my photography and showcase all of California's 58 counties. I didn't quite make all of the 58, I missed three and I will try to rectify that in the coming year. I'm not sure how much I improved my photography because I always seemed to be in a rush.
In 2012 I plan to take more time, perhaps not post every day (this is one thing I did accomplish in 2011). I also plan to expand beyond California and include images from other parts of Western United States. I will continue to include a map showing where I was when I took the picture. I will keep commentary to a minimum, long photo essays will continue to be at Martha's Musings.

I love the seal pups! It's always fun to see them in their own space enjoying the sun! We get to do that once in a while here in Washington. Delightful capture for the day, Martha! Hope you have a beautiful day!

Please stop by my blog for a link to a new movie coming out soon called "Darling Companion" with Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline. I thought I would share with all of the Camera Critters! I haven't seen it yet .. but I'm looking forward to seeing it. Let me know what you think!

They blend in so well, and interesting how they flip sand on their backs. I can imagine walking along deep in my thoughts and tripping over one!!

That's different, they have a natural camo.

Very nice! I've seen them down the coast a bit, but never there! I hope to change that very soon!
