About This Blog
I began this blog in 2011 in an attempt to improve my photography and showcase all of California's 58 counties. I didn't quite make all of the 58, I missed three and I will try to rectify that in the coming year. I'm not sure how much I improved my photography because I always seemed to be in a rush.
In 2012 I plan to take more time, perhaps not post every day (this is one thing I did accomplish in 2011). I also plan to expand beyond California and include images from other parts of Western United States. I will continue to include a map showing where I was when I took the picture. I will keep commentary to a minimum, long photo essays will continue to be at
Martha's Musings.

We see some of that in Texas too. Maybe it's a warning to other cowboys to stay away - sort of like when they shoot the coyotes and hang them on the fencelines to warn others not to mess with that property...
I, too, thought of the ones I've seen in Texas! They do get your attention! Interesting! Terrific shots as always! Enjoy your day, Martha!

We saw some on the fenceposts in a tiny end of the road town in Eastern Oregon. And on the way to the town a shoe tree of magnificent variety. I posted about them about this time last year. The boot

Well, in the struggle to get the links right, I guess I could have proofread.
I think someone kicked up their heels a bit too high!
Maybe a guy tripped over the fence and lost those boots. Did you look for his hat? ;)
Ha! I would be taking a double look driving by this. Great!
